Toronto Pearson International Airport, also known as Lester B. Pearson International Airport or simply Toronto Pearson, is located approximately 12 miles/22.5 km northwest of Downtown Toronto. The airport is the primary international airport serving Toronto and its metropolitan area. Toronto Pearson is the largest and busiest airport in Canada. In 2019, the airport handled 50.5 million passengers and was thereby the 30th-busiest airport in the world measured by passenger traffic.

Getting to Toronto Pearson Airport is easy by road as the airport is directly accessible from Highway 427 and Highway 409. Airport Road and Dixon Road provide local access to the airport. Terminal Information

Toronto Pearson Airport operates a total of five runways, which include 05/23, 06L/24R, 06R/24L, 15L/33R, and 15L/33R.

Visitors will find two terminals at the airport; Terminal 1 mainly operates both domestic and international flights. It is a newly constructed terminal and the largest one at Toronto Airport with 58 gates divided into 3 piers (D, E, and F). Terminal 3 facilitates 48 gates and is divided into 3 piers (A, B, and C).

Passengers can use the Terminal Link train that brings passengers between Terminal 1 and 3 as well as to the Sheraton Gateway Hotel, ALT Hotel, the Viscount Station, and Value Park Garage and Lot. Airport Information

A high number of ATM's are available throughout both of the passenger terminals at Toronto Pearson Airport.

If you have lost any baggage at Toronto Pearson Airport within the terminals, parking garages or the Link train between terminals, you have to contact the Lost & Found department at the airport.

Car Rentals

A significant number of rental car companies provide car hire at Toronto Pearson Airport, including Alamo, Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Hertz, Payless, and Thrifty. You can also choose between several local car hire companies including EZ, Mex, Peel, and NU at the airport.

It is highly recommended that you make your car hire reservations as soon as possible before arriving at Toronto Pearson Airport. This is due to the fact that there is only a restricted number of vehicles available for walk-up consumers.

Transport

All passengers can find easy travel options to and from the airport via train, buses, taxis as well as car rental.

Travelers will find several bus routes that go from YYZ Airport to the city center of Toronto and nearby suburbs. Choose between express buses, GO buses, and local bus services.

Furthermore, all visitors can take the train as Union Pearson Express runs from Toronto Pearson Airport to Union Station in Toronto City Center. The journey takes just 25 minutes.

There is not a direct subway service to and from the airport, but regular, wheelchair-accessible city buses connect the airport with the subway system.

Moreover, taxis are available outside Terminal 1 and 3 at the airport. To take a taxi you must go to the appropriate taxi rank located at Door D at Terminal 1, and Doors D, E, and F at Terminal 3. A taxi trip from Toronto Pearson Airport to the City Center of Toronto takes between 30-60 minutes.
